Self-Service Password Management™ (SSPM™) is an optional, license-based service available to any Kanguru Defender secure flash drive user. With SSPM, a user will designate an email address that will be used to reset the Defender’s login password if and when the need arises. Users can choose to purchase either a 1-year, 2-year, or 3-year SSPM license.
Remember, as a user of Kanguru Defender encrypted USB drive(s), you are the only one who has access to your drive, therefore Kanguru highly recommends Self Service Password Management.
NOTE: Customers who already have a KRMC Cloud or Enterprise Subscription account can immediately take advantage of this service as part of their Kanguru Remote Management Console, and therefore do not need to purchase this separate service.

For clients with non-KRMC Cloud / Enterprise managed USB drives, Self-Service Reset Password Management is an optional feature that will provide a secure means to reset their password in the event it is forgotten. This prevents a potentially painful situation that some find when they forget the password to a secure, password-protected drive, rendering their data inaccessible. Should the need ever arise, if the password is ever forgotten, it can be easily reset to continue access to the USB drive. You can choose to purchase either a 1-year, 2-year, or 3-year SSPM license. SSPM is an optional, license-based service available by Kanguru for any Kanguru Defender® secure USB flash drive user.
Customers who have a managed, KRMC Cloud remote management account can already take advantage of this service as it is built-in to the Kanguru Remote Management Console. If you are a non-managed user or KRMC Enterprise user, you will need to purchase a license to enable the SSPM feature on supported Defender drives.
NOTE: KRMC Cloud and KRMC Cloud Pro Users:
Self-Service Password Management comes standard with your KRMC-Cloud account. It only needs to be purchased separately for clients with unmanaged USB drives.
